Mental Health is something that has been connected with Anthony since 2006. That was the year he lost his brother to depression. It has been an uphill battle for him and his family ever since. It is now Anthony’s goal to help people minimize the impact mental health issues can have one one’s life.
Anthony has been a high school teacher in the Waterloo Region District School Board since 2011. He is prides himself on developing well-rounded students in his classroom. Anthony’s primary goal as a physical educator is to ensure Students leave his class with a higher sense of self-worth and self-efficacy. His ability to connect with teenagers helps create a warm, welcoming, and trusting environment.
Ever since 2009 Anthony has been a coach in some form or another. Anthony’s athletics background as a former professional athlete translated directly to the coaching world. Anthony has been involved coaching many high school sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, and track and field. He has also coached rep football within the Cambridge Lions organization as well as spending a year serving as the Linebackers coach for the University of Guelph football team in 2010. Anthony brings his passion for working with people, alongside his passion for coaching athletics to the world of life coaching.
Anthony’s formal training to work with teenagers is a combination of his Teacher Certification as well as his completion of the Mental Health in the Classroom Certification Program offered through Wilfrid Laurier University.
